About Yehuda Handelsman, M.D. Dr. Yehuda Handelsman is the medical director and principal investigator of the Metabolic Institute of America, and an endocrinologist in private practice in Tarzana, California.  He is the president of the American College of Endocrinology (ACE), a past president of the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists (AACE), chair of the AACE Diabetes and Lipid Scientific Committees, and a member of AACE Obesity Scientific Committee and Task force of the new 2014 AACE Consensus on the Diagnosis and Management of Obesity. Dr. Handelsman is chair and program director of the annual World Congress on Insulin Resistance, Diabetes, and Cardiovascular Disease, chair of the International Committee for Insulin Resistance, and secretary of the Pacific Lipid Association. He is also an associate editor of the Journal of Diabetes, and frequently serves as guest editor for multiple publications, such as the Journal of Clinical Hypertension.
