Volume 5, Issue 24 Greetings, For the last several years it’s been an ongoing challenge to find what felt like stable footing in the medical travel industry. Just how big is the industry? What are the opportunities? What are the liabilities? To whom are we selling? And on and on and around and around. These were the perennial questions. And while all the answers aren’t clear, it seems that the fog has lifted a bit and a clearer landscape is coming into view. Examples of this are evident in stories such as Surgeons Taking the Leap: Dropping Insurance (see INDUSTRY NEWS) and in the from-the-trenches interview with Rajesh Rao of IndUSHealth.  Both are examples of how clarity of vision has allowed these businesses to adjust their strategies and proceed with confidence — and success — in the industry. That’s not to say that all the questions have been answered. Far from it — see A Better Way To Approach Medicare’s Impossible Task for proof of that. But we’re making progress, which is far better than the fumbling in the dark of just a few years back. Do you have a story of clarity and success you’d like to share?
