Dear Colleagues,
As more and more people look for a better quality of life, many find themselves looking to settle outside the U.S. after retirement. Democrats Abroad reported that there are approximately 1.3 million Americans overseas that are 65 years or older. However, despite this growing number, Medicare coverage is unavailable to those living abroad, creating barriers to healthcare access.
In this issue, we speak with Sharon Myers RN, MSN, MSB • FACHE, CPHQ, CHCQM, CPHRM, discussing her passion for healthcare access and her focus on advocating for the portability of Medicare coverage for retired Americans living abroad.
If you would like to be featured in an upcoming issue, we would love to interview you to discuss the work you are doing to advance the healthcare industry. Please contact me at [email protected] to schedule an interview.
Please stay safe and tell me how you are breaking ground in these growing industries.
